I am glad to welcome you and to congratulate on opening of the VIII International festival symposium of a wooden sculpture “Lukomorie on Baikal”! For many years your large-scale project carries out an important and responsible mission, making a powerful contribution to preservation and enhancement of national cultural traditions. His highly topical and interesting program steadily draws attention of people of different generations, acquainting them with original creativity of the Russian and foreign masters. This year the three-year thematic cycle “Belief, Hope, Love” approaches end, so that very soon the park of a wooden sculpture will be replenished with new remarkable compositions. It is very important that on the platform the festival unites representatives of dozens of countries and art schools, brings together numerous guests and the audience. It is sure, once again it will become a noticeable cultural event of the Irkutsk region and all Russia. I wish you good mood and bright emotions!
